Known Rules

1st. Level
              Restrictions and prohibitions of the CSAV Group and Third Parties.
              
              Decision taken at the highest level of each Carrier’s Administration. It is to be applied to any cargo, in any situation, in any place. Being a Carrier’s instruction supersedes any order, arrangement or agreement in force.

2nd. Level
              Restrictions of the service: The service may adopt specific restrictions or prohibitions in regards to some dangerous cargoes. Such restrictions and prohibitions are to be considered as non-acceptable only for that specific service.

3rd. Level
              IMDG Code and local regulations: Any dangerous cargo shall meet the whole requirements established in the IMDG Code and local regulations.

4th. Level
             Vessel´s restrictions as set in the Document of Compliance: Technical restriction related to the vessel´s construction and classification.

5th. Level
            Charter Party restrictions: The contractual obligations set among the owner and the CSAV Group as the charterer.

6th. Level
             Ports and waterways restrictions. The port of loading, transit and discharge restrictions need to be observed as well as the restrictions or prohibitions impose on waterways.

7th. Level
             Restrictions based on the actual vessel’s cargo pattern. A particular cargo mixture may not allow the acceptance of a given commodity due to segregation.
